Hi there, I'm starting to transition into a more vegetarian diet and I've been eat quite a bit more tofu lately. One thing that I've noticed is the Tofu is always sold in big blocks. Forgive me if this is stupid, but is there any reason for this? It might just be me, but seeing a big block of something like that just doesn't seem appealing to the palate. It would look a lot more appetizing I feel if it were an oval for instance. Sort of like how actual meat looks like.
So is there a particular reason for this? I figure it's because blocks allow you to cut it easier into sizes you want, and perhaps you get more surface area with a block vs an oval. Any input is appreciated!
