most medicine of any kind is tested on animals. They would test the laytex on the animals.

Well it did claim that no pigs were hurt... haha, I know that these are like a joke, but I would probally buy these if they sold them at target, just to confuse people who saw me wearing them.

 

The actual brand Band-Aid is owned by Johnson & Johnson, which do test their products on animals.

 

Bacon on a wound just sounds so grotesque. I'd buy them too!

Thanks for that info! I'm fine with off brands as well though. How about Nexcare (hope I have the right name)? They have really strong water proof bandaids that'll stay on through loads and loads of hand washing dishes (I worked in a kitchen, bandaids were a must, and I was the dish machine).

As far as I can tell, the main concerns with bandages would be the animal testing, and possibly the adhesive. I'm assuming that most mainstream brands are not vegan, as Veganessentials sells these eco-guard bandages.

Haha, I wish!

Working in a kitchen, you have to have a bandaid on if you cut your hand or have a scab or anything like that. Otherwise, you could make a customer sick or even kill them. Last year, I brout a pack of bandaids with me to school that said that it didn't test on animals on the package, but they didn't work very well and I ended up using like 3 bandaids in one class.

I'm pretty positive on 3M though. I found them in a list of animal testing companies, and I found articles on making animal testing more efficiant in their online scientific library.

I will take your word on it, I just think that it's unfortunate that these big companies don't look into alternatives for animal testing on products as simple as band aids, I mean, take some tape and toulet paper, what harm can it do? I guess I'll try some other companies. To bad though. I still have like half a pack of nexcare bandaids left, so I'll be good until they are gone.
