I just turned vegan and I wanna know if I can still eat pasta. Do pasta noodles generally have eggs in them? What if I eat out? Is there some way to tell if your pasta was made with eggs? Like, are there types of pastas that generally have eggs in them?

I asked my friend who's into baking and cooking, and she said that pasta generally has eggs, and said it's a key ingredient in making the pasta noodles. But how come I see a lot of vegan pasta recipes?

Some pasta does have eggs, but most pasta has just flour and water in it. Keep reading the labels, and that will help. Good luck.

This. Your friend must have been thinking of fresh pasta, a lot of fresh pasta you find in the refrigerated section has eggs but most dry pasta is vegan. Just check the ingredients at the store, and when you eat out it's generally safe to assume the pasta is vegan but you can always ask your server if you don't want to risk it.
