i froze some tofu cause it was getting close to expiry date and i knew i wouldn't use it in time. it's been a month or two i think and just wondering if it's still ok to use. one package is still sealed so it's probably ok right? the other is a half package that i cubed and put into a container for easy portioning, but since it was opened is it still ok?

ah cool thanks! i've never frozen it before, i rarely buy the stuff but my mom made tofurkey from scratch at christmas and bought too much tofu so she sent it home with me (she's omni so she'd never use it if i'm not there)

i used some in my rice cooker, which turned out pretty well, so i figured if i can keep some portioned out in the freezer i might be more likely to use it

is there an easy way to tell if tofu is gone bad, frozen or not?

Bad bad smell when it's off, also I bought some last week that when I opened up the cardboard box and got to the plastic wrap, I could see the tofu was pink. I think the plastic had a small hole in it as the carton was damp. Pink is poison, if a soya yoghurt I once lost is anything to go by.
