I was an extra in a movie when I was 10. It took about 9 hours for a 3 minute scene, in which my only role was to sit under a desk during a bomb drill (the movie takes place during the Cuban Missile Crisis. We must have been on like take #87, and my attention span was long depleted. On the one that ended up making it to the big screen, my finger, or more precisely damn near my whole hand, was up my nose.
So if anyone ever sees the movie "Waiting for the Light" with Teri Garr and Shirley Maclaine, pay attention during the classroom scenes. When you see a kid sitting under a desk picking his nose, that's me during my minute of fame.
