Hi guys,
I was thinking of trying out my mom's yogurt maker.
Do any of you have one and how exactly does it work? Does it work with only soy milk or do you need to add some sort of 'yogurt base'?

I have 3.
Two are with individual glass pots and the other one has just one ful litre sized bowl. Yogurt is very easy to make and you can use any milk. You do however require a starter for the first time. Either 1 tbs of yogurt of culture. You than just use another spoon from the yogurt you have made for the following batches.

The taste is wonderful and is far better than the shop brands and it works out so much cheaper in the long run.

oh perfect! So you don't need the actual yogurt for the consistency?

Sorry but I don't quite get your question ?

To start a fresh batch you do require either 1 tbs of yogurt or culture.

I am looking to buy a yogurt maker that can make 1 or 2 quarts at a time. Reading the reviews but they don't say if the yogurt maker works with soy milk. (I make my own soy milk). Any suggestions? Thanks.
