Hey, it's Sunday where I am. D:

I went to the gym and did my usual hour workout today. Then, at a barbecue with some dancing friends of mine, we busted out our swing moves. You just can't stop us.....

Guh! I did nothing today. Well, kind of nothing. I went into boston today to see ben folds, and, in his words, I was "****ing drowning." It was SO rainy. And SO cold. And since we wereby the river and outside, dakjfas;dfldsa. it was fuh-reezing. I stayed for all these bands I didn't care about(ben folds was last) and then left in the middle of ben folds because my feet were blocks of ice. Now, after some nice burritos and a game of monopoly in my pjs, i'm off to bed and to another day.

Yesterday, Saturday, I took a short walk with my husband--about 1/2 hour. It was chilly. We walked by the water and the wind was blowing but it was a nice walk.

Swing dance class this evening. My teachers decided to put us through "speed training," which entails putting on some really fast songs and letting us move those feet! It was hot today, too, which doesn't happen very often up here in the frozen north. Anyway, it was a good workout.

Hey Hamsters!

Well I went out this morning intending to do seven or eight but it was more like six and a half. I guess I didn't drink enough water or something cause I started to get all chilled and goosebumped...signs of dehydration...so I cut it short. O' well next weekend I'll go longer

CaptainSwab, sounds like your run was very pretty...glad your shoes are working out.

Corri, sorry your concert was so cold.

Isabella and Azalea, great Hamster walkin!

Austinwingsrr, You're the swing queen Hamster

rainbowmoon, Please don't feel like a slacker...your a great Hamster! Everyone here is working at all different levels. There are lots of Hamsters who do things I'll never be able to do...like 1000 crunches or 100 pushups to name a few...but that's not what I'm out to achieve. You have to set your goals and work at your own level at what you want to achieve. We are all here to support each other so that we can all accomplish what we've set out to do...at our own pace. You're doing great! Hope you feel better soon

Congrats Mrs. Flower! It was a beautiful day yesterday! We went to Pike Lake, it was very nice...lots of wild flowers in bloom....I've never seen so many Trillium

Max, Hope yer thumb feels better soon. O' and nice pic

Rainbowmoon, I had to work up to 8 miles. Beleive me, a few months ago, theres no way I could even think about that. It took alot of training.

Today: 6 mile hike.

Beautiful day out in the mountains. Here in Santa Barbara it was foggy but once you get up into the mountains it was great. We stopped about half way into the hike at one of the many swimming holes along the way and went in for about 20 minutes. Hiking boots and all! LOL. My feet were SOOO heavy after that. It was tons of fun.

Lol, awww, thanks slynny and CaptainSwab...you guys are so sweet. Right now I can run about three miles, and that's tough. My problem is not necessarily cardiovascular...its that when I was REALLY out of shape and I started running, I snapped the tendons in my feet, and the pounding from running is painful after awhile. I think I can work up to more, its just that the progress is happening quite slowly....oh well! Slow progress is better than no progress. *ooh, rhyming*

3 miles is great Linz! Do you realize that most people cannot run 3 miles? Thats a great start.

Anyways, like slynny said, everyone is at their own levels so be proud of what you can do.

Okay, I have decided to join this thread and this is why...

I am sooooo lazy!!!!

I hardly ever get any excercise. You all seem very motivated and I think I need to get in on this motivation! I am going to try my hardest to get moving!!!

Here's why I think it's so hard for me, or maybe just my poor sorry excuse... My whole family is not very healthy. They don't watch what they eat or make any type of effort to get excercise. I don't even know where to start! I can't join a gym or anything that costs money... I am a poor student. Where do I get started??? I think I am going to start walking. There are two great trails near my house which I plan to take advantage of.

Wish me luck!
