I have a beanie from american eagle and I looked at the tag instead but it doesnt say anything about being wool or not. So i'm currently wearing it...I didnt buy it recently I had for a couple years so I dont even remember how much it is or not. It's from american eagle...

is there like ways to tell if its wool or not?
i feel stupid, but yeah!

I can't stand when they don't specify the materials on the tag. I am currently shopping around for scarves, hats, mittens, and boots. I come across the "materials made in China" tag here and there. I'm like WTH does this have to do with anything?

Don't people need to know the materials for allergies or wash care? they should make clothing items tag requirements like nutrition labels....

Id say since youve bought it and been wearing it then the harms done even if it is wool, and no worries. wear your hat in peace!

Anyway again I'd go by the texture. Wool stuff generally is itchier, and if you wash it it shrinks ha ha. As well, if somethings wool the company want to boast about it so will put it on the label - id guess its cotton or acrylic.

ps. wool is definately knitted in some products

take some of the fibers and burn them. if they melt and smell like burning plastic they're man-made, if they smell like burning paper they're cotton, and if they smell like burning hair they're wool
