April 22 - 28 is the World Week for Animals in Labratories (WWAIL), an annual event designed to expose the suffering of animals used for testing and research. During WWAIL, events around the world take place which seek to educate the public about what really goes on behind the closed doors of animal research facilities and about the scientific, moral, and economic objections to animal testing, also known as vivisection.

The time has come for dramatic change. With a wide and growing array of non-animal research methods rendering vivisection increasingly obsolete, animal experiments conducted today could be eliminated with the full-scale implementation of non-animal methods - without risk to human health. However, the research, drug and chemical industries - entrenched in animal research for legal, economic and political reasons - perpetuate the myth that animal experimentation is necessary.

Join [email protected] on April 21st as we kick off WWAIL 2007 with a demonstration about the horrors of vivisection.

WHEN: Saturday April 21, 2007

WHERE: Yonge & Dundas, SOUTHWEST corner

TIME: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Posters and leaflets provided.

For each day during WWAIL, [email protected] will be unveiling a special challenge that everyone can do from home to help end animal experimentation and we hope that you'll help us spread the word by forwarding our WWAIL challenges to all your family and friends. Let's end this mad science once and for all.
