Because it irks the hell out of me to hear people go on and on about their environmental talk while not taking a second to look at the impact of their diets on the biosphere.
Case in point:

They asked for suggestions, so I sent them this:
Here's a suggestion. There's a way to decrease energy consumption, water and air pollution and greenhouse gas emission all at once while working in front of your Mac, iPad or iPhone anywhere in the world. Eat a vegan meal while you are at it. In the US alone, animal agriculture is responsible for the greatest deforestation rates and it is the industry that uses and pollutes the most water. On a global scale, animal agriculture is responsible for 18% of greenhouse gas emissions, which is more than all forms of transportation combined. A single vegan meal a day far outweighs the impact of energy saving lightbulbs, driving a hybrid or putting your computer to sleep.
