I had to make something for a special occasion today and ended up having to use cake flour... a brand which obviously would have such things as bromates and peroxides used in processing (but don't get me started). Argh.<br><br><br><br>
What happened? Did the stores in my area (and I've visited a LOT of them over the past few weeks in prep for this dessert) stop carrying or is this a phenom noticed elsewhere? I don't understand it.
