He's really considerate of my feelings about it though, he doesn't talk about it around me, and he stopped trapping animals because I threatened to step into one of his traps and get my foot caught in it, and he only kills what he'll eat...I really don't like the thought of hunting but I don't see how its any crueler than eating a cow that came from a factory farm.
And yes, I too think that hunting yourself is somehow less cruel. I have a problem with people who turn a blind eye, and I have thus developed a policy of: If you can kill it (this goes for plants too) then you can eat it. However, hunting for huntings sake is cruel.
What would people do if they had to kill their own food? We would have a mass vegetarian movement.
