My local supermarket just redid their entire frozen food section and now they have two whole doors dedicated to vegetarian foods, in which they now carry the Amy's brand. I've only purchased a bean and rice burrito which I liked, and a brown rice and tofu bowl which I have yet to try. Which products would do you recommend I try?

I actually have tried most of Amy's products, and I don't think there was a single one I liked. That sucks cuz most people give Amy's rave reviews.

Their frozen burrito meals are pretty good... for frozen burritos.

The roasted vegetable pizza (vegan) is pretty good too.

Both of the ones I've liked have honey, so if you're vegan, look out for that. They were the Veggie Loaf meal, and the veggie hot-pocket thing with the tofu. Both quite yummy.

The frozen vegan burrito is good... for a frozen vegan burrito. ;D And I enjoy the California burgers as a soy-free BBQ option that actually tastes good, heh.

I bought two of her soups (split pea & lentil veggie) today, hopefully they'll be good?

I don't much like her roasted veggie pizza at all... I can do better. The veggies are rather scarce!

I like the vegan meals, like the enchiladas and the rice bowls, especially the teriyaki bowl.

I'm still waiting for their vegan soy cheese pizza to show up in my store. It's new!

I can't wait to see if it's yummy or not.

I wish Amy wouldn't dump so much salt into her food. I am glad there are some "Low Sodium" options now. I love the Veggie Loaf Meal. And the vegan pizza.

SJ..did you find the low sodium ones somewhere? I saw them once, in some random HFS in Maryland, but could never find them at WholeFoods, etc. I've heard that the low-sodium veggieloaf is vegan, so I was interested in finding it!

Pot Pies!!!!

Yesssssss! Another vote for the pot pies

I like the one that is just called Vegetable Pot Pie, I haven't tried the "country style" or the Shepherd's Pie.

I tried several Amy's soups and to me they had really weird, unpleasant flavors. But I'm not a big fan of canned soup generally so maybe not the best judge.

And a veg*n coworker of mine is always bringing the Amy's lasagnes for lunch, and they look and smell really good!

I always keep a few flavors of Amy's burritos in my freezer. These are fantastic for those nights where some emergency keeps me at work several hours late and I'm too frazzled to cook. If I'm starving, I microwave it. If I can wait a bit and just need to let go of the day, I throw it in the oven and take a bath while it bakes. Perfect.

I may need to branch out and try one of those pot pies, though. Hmmm...

The only ones I've tried that I wouldn't recommend are the veggie loaf which tastes like it looks: Like a turd with mud on it. Plus I just don't care for frozen, microwaved peas.

And the second worst place goes to the black bean burrito. Can't even describe how much I don't like it.

Probably my favorite is the enchilada, and the bowls are delicious.

Everything else was good to really good, but kind of expensive. The portions are only enough for a lunch, and I can make something better and fresher for half the price, and with half the sodium.

Still considering how few veg*n option there aren't in the frozen entree section I'm 100% pro-Amy's.

Cheers!

The only Amy's product I purchase regularly are the refried beans. They are seasoned just right for me- no need to add anything. I've had the cheeseless pizza, which was disappointing. Like another poster said, the veggies were few and far between. I do like the rice and bean burrito and the roasted vegetable pocket quite a bit, but they cost $2.29 so we rarely buy them.
