Halloween is coming up, and I was wondering what kind of spooky places you all like to go to during this time of the year.

My life is boreing, I have one thrill seeking child and another child who is afraid of Shrek.

No scary things for me however when I could go to so called scary things they were pretty pointless, never scary.

Or it could just be that I was raised on an early diet of horror movies and haunted houses since I can remeber.

Usually stay at home with a whole load of snacks and horror movie marathon (it's probably gonna be the "Nightmare on Elm Street" or "Hellraiser" movies this year).

Or sometimes I'll go to the cinema, they usually have a midnight showing of a horror movie for the occassion, last year it was the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" (remake) showing.

So I shouldn't mention opening my credit card bills as an answer?

One year I watched the Texas Chainsaw Massacre by the house it was filmed at with a question and answer section after the movie with a few of the actors. The movie was shown outside on Halloween and it started to rain so the movie theatre people decided to move to another small town just few miles away. Well the theatre they used was old and had not been in use for a long time..perfect set up! We were all drenched from the rain and I had on plastic type of pants which stuck to me..yuck anyway during the movie this huge huge cockroach appeared and even though I was on the front row there were plenty of other people too..but it decided to sort of run and fly towards me...talk about horror...man I lost it...I was yelling someone do something at the top of my lungs as this thing came towards me I was practically flying out of my seat while people were screaming and running from chainsaws on the screen...yeah it was quite a show.

Well if you want a serious answer:

we don't have Halloween where I live, but if I wanted to be scared, I could go to some distant area (I have a particular one in mind) and go into the forest there, completely isolated from everything.

the game F.E.A.R is more scary then any guy in a costume. Alone in your room in the dark, not knowing what will happen next... every step you take... ohhh that game is freaky... Much more then silly costumes and a strobe lighted path in a trailer - or some gorey movie.

I voted for nothing - its pointless.

saying that I'm also trying to no longer glorify the demonic, and no longer glorify death by participating in most "halloween" traditions. I'll probably still carve a pumpkin or some other fall festival type things, just not things that glorify death.

Really? Have you ever been to one of those "scary" house/walkthrough things?

Last year I had class on Halloween and I will again this year. Classes are scary enough for me. Especially since this year the class I have on Halloween is accounting. Now that's scary!
