Does anyone know where I can buy a Peaceable Kingdom DVD? They are coming out with an updated version, so Amazon is not currently selling it. I had it on backorder for months, but I eventually got so fed up I cancelled my order. See, that's the problem. The website says it's "temporarily unavailable." It's been "temporarily unavailable" since at least March, which makes me question if they're ever going to sell the DVD again. Amazon seems to given up on a release date.<br><br>
It's great to see that you can watch the whole video online. But unfortunately I need a DVD copy :/ because I'm replacing my library's stolen copy.

In case you missed the e-bay sale, I thought I'd let you know that I have an extra copy of the Peaceable Kingdom DVD. I assume you live in the US and since I live in Canada, it would probably cost me about $5 US to send this DVD to you. But it would involve some work to deal put this DVD in a package and take it to the post office and I'm quite busy with various projects so I'm not really keen on getting this DVD sent out. But if you are willing to pay me $20 through my Paypal account, then I'll go through the trouble of shipping this out to you. I live in Vancouver (on the west coast of Canada) so it probably should take about a week for the DVD to ship to you by air mail. I think that Tribe of Heart is not selling copies of Peaceable Kingdom at this time because they are working on a new version of Peaceable Kingdom. They have been working on this for quite a while and I think it can be difficult to predict how long it will take to complete a film, or create a new version of a film, so I don't think Tribe of Heart has set a date for when they will be finished with the next version of Peaceable Kingdom. So I think we'll just have to wait and see.

Is it a sad dvd showing animal cruelty or is it nice with a positive message? Having watched some of the videos on the PETA website I can't bear to watch anything else really sad.

both. the factory farm footage isn't as graphic as some of the PeTA vids, but it's still there. Most of my tears were for the amazing compassion of the people who were committing their energies to saving these poor tortured animals.

Wow is all I can say. I just watched this and am completely amazed. It was so sad, yet so wonderful what these people do and seeing the ex-farmers that changed and feel compassion...just WOW. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/bigcry.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=""> It is so worth seeing, I have asked my boyfriend to watch it with me some night this week. I am not asking him to convert, I just think it is such an amazing video and I want to be able to discuss it with someone. Maybe he will take the information and footage and decide to start taking some meat out of his diet, maybe he won't. Either way I just need him to understand 100% why I am the way that I am and why I am going 100% vegan starting today. I feel isolated and alone sometimes. Everywhere we go are meat commercials (radio and tv), meat at the restaurants, people talking about it...I feel like I can't get away from it. After this video, there is no more I am eating up what I have and then will go vegan. My boyfriend and his daughter can do that.

I just finished watching Peaceable Kingdom.<br><br><br><br>
There were only a few minutes that I wasn't crying during the documentary. I am trying to find words right now to describe what I'm feeling, but I'm having a really hard time. I'll probably come back to edit this post later today.<br><br><br><br>
My desire to do more to help animals has been strengthened by watching this. Bless the people who work there and around the country that rescue these animals from their suffering.

Thanks for the tip. Looks like they only have VHS, so I guess I'll wait for the new DVD version to come out. I watched it on Google Video a while back.

Thanks for the info, everyone. I'll have to think about whether I want to buy the video. It would replace the lost copy, but many people don't want to take out VHS tapes anymore and really don't pay too much attention to that section. I'll just have to mull it over.<br><br>
