I would have spoken to the manager and told them what was going on, i'm not sure I would want to get personally involved because situations like that tend to blow up.
They did! It was right at the part you said, too! It said:Originally Posted by Kari

We all know that is not true, but there are probably some omnis out there watching who think it is true, and the actor was only perpetuating that. Knowledge is power.
In the first part she was wearing capris and a purple shirt, and I thought that was fine. She looked totally "normal" to me, I don't know why glasses make you a hippie. But you're totally right about the second part with the necklace, hair, dress, bag, etc. Overall it was a very positive segment, though.Originally Posted by AlainWinthrope
The way they casted and costumed the vegan mother was kind of disappointing. They made her look like a stereotypical veg/hippy lady: pale skin, dark hair, that weird headband, thick rim glasses, really long dress, etc. Very briefly in the last clip it's even worse: narly hippy hair, drab colors, some environmental type t shirt underneath an oversized coat, what looks like a neclace with sea shells on it, a messenger bag. She was also kind of obnoxious.
I guess it's more of a new age look. And it's not so much the glasses alone as the glasses in conjunction with the rest of the outfit. You can wear Ray Bans and I won't think you're a hipster until you're doing it with a mustache, a plaid flannel, and a fixie bike.
