I would write up a quick will, then eat it in bed surrounded by my family/friends. I don't want to die in a sterile hospital.

well then leave some food out of the fridge for a day and then eat it.

i realised the other day that the veg cheese i have been eating for the past few years expires after being opened for 7 days and i eat a pkg in atleast 2 weeks.

that makes me ill just thinking about it.

The "expiration date" is a general guideline. But it doesn't mean the food is unfit after that time (sometimes yes, sometimes no, depending on what kind of food and the conditions that it was kept in). If the cheese tasted o.k. and you haven't gotten sick from it in years, it's fine.

They don't mean as much as many people think they do. Most food is still edible after the expiration date but may not be very tasty.

Maybe. Some people might not keep their refrigerator as cold and they might have a different experience, but it seems to be working out for you.

Oh, I do do that sometimes. That's the beauty of free health care in this country. You can eat anything you want past the sell-by date and the goverment will always be there to pick up the pieces.
