Around this time of year especially, folks often focus more on random acts of kindness and charitable gestures toward others. I feel we should all do more of this throughout the entire year.

So my question for all of you is, what was your good deed for the day? It can be a favor for a friend or family member, or a random kindness toward a stranger. Perhaps it will inspire us all to be a little nicer to those around us...

My good deed for the day was lending money to a relative to pay their property taxes while they continue their job search.

Me too, anything I can't use but is good quality goes to the thrift store. I believe that I get what I give (I don't have much money myself) so what I don't use I give away and I receive my share by frequenting thrift stores myself

I didn't breed again. Wish more would follow suit. Or does this belong in the "unpopular opinions" thread?

One of my coworkers called in sick, so I helped pick up some slack and answered some of their mail that was piling up.

I saw someone with ugly, red hair and I said it was very pretty. I'm not saying red hair is ugly, but her hair happened to be red and it was. I could tell that it had taken some time to do it, so it was obvious she cared and when I said it, she lit up. Was that wrong?
