Batman. I mean the original Batman, played by Adam West. Not only was he on the side of law 'n order, but he was a genuinely cool dude. He was nice to kids, appreciated the purrrrfectly shaped lines of Cat Woman, and could dance a mean Batusi.

If only he didn't have that boringly square Robin to drag around...

"Holy childhood memories, Batman!"

Powder was great wasn't he? Didn't you just love the scene with

the deer hunter? How many times have I wished to have that power!

And of course we never missed Batman. He was the most super keen hero of all.

Jack Bauer (From the show '24', for those of you who have been living in a cave for the past 5 years! lol) Although he has done many things that wouldn't be considered "good" to many people, he does whats necessary at the time.

Ummm I'm sure I have more but I'm not quite awake yet, I'll come back later.

Oh man, Jack Bauer, The Tick, and The Bride are all great choices.

The Tick is hands down my favorite superhero. I think superheros need their own category.

I liked Matt Damon as Jason Bourne. And I have to confess, I have a thing for bad guy heroes-- I liked Vin Diesel as both XXX and as Riddick.

But I'm thinking the all-time greatest has to be Clint Eastwood as Dirty Harry.

I like conflicted characters. Some that have a dark side and yet a genuine good side. So, some of these may be confusing and some of them have indeed done some "bad" things.

Frank Pembleton from Homicide:LOTS

Kareem Said: Oz

Augustus Hill:Oz

The Dude: The Big Lebowski...while he may not be a hero in the traditional sense he is the man "for his place and time".

Ed Exley: LA Confidential

Frodo Baggins: LOTR

What sort of Harry Potter fan would I be if I failed to mention: Harry Potter?

ETA: Adrian Monk : Monk

As far as superheroes go, it's Batman for me. But, not the cheesy Batman of old. Christian Bale's Batman is the one I am talking about.
