Bragg's is listed as an ingrediant is SO many of recipies in the "How it All Vegan" cookbook, and I've been keeping my eyes open for it at the grocery store, but I haven't been able to find it. Maybe I don't really know what it is? I've been looking in the BBQ Sauce/Marinade/Soy Sauce isles...would that be the right area?

it's a sauce made only from soybeans and water. chances are good that you will have to go to a health food store to find it. soy sauce or tamari work as okay substitutions for it in recipes, although they lack the health benifits of the amino acids that braggs is rich in. braggs also has a more subtle, and imo, better flavor than soy sauce. but it costs quite a bit more!

here's link to their site: <a href="http://www.bragg.com/products/liquidaminos.html" target="_blank">http://www.bragg.com/products/liquidaminos.html</a><br><br><br><br>
you can order it on the site if you can't find it locally.<br><br>
the online prices seem to be comparible to what i pay at the hfs.

Oooh, Thank you!! I think I've seen other liquid amino-type bottles at the store; I wonder if they'd be a good substitute? I'll check them out, and then maybe just go and order some Bragg's on-line. Again, thanks!

I have a 32 oz. bottle of the stuff (from Whole Foods), and it goes fast. I use it in just about anything I saute or stir fry if it can bear the soy sauce-y flavor. Great stuff, and good for you, too!
