I am curious to hear what VBers think about Liechtenstein. Especially their Constitution and the choice of the flag.

If you don't know much about Liechtenstein (but I'm pretty certain you're all up to date on your local Liechtenstein news), you are allowed to give your opinion on the Republic of San Marino instead.

How about Luxembourg? I don't know anything about that country, either.

Personally, I think it's way too hard to pronounce, especially if you're Canadian and have never heard it pronounced first. What were they thinking?

I like the cut of Liechtenstein's jib.

I think their choice of the flag was boldI somehow always pictured them more of a pennant or banderole country.

Cheers!

The republic of san marino is cool. I'm the only person I know other than a few people in my immediate family who's been there.

I think...this same parody was done rather recently.

I didn't see the France thread as a parody, but rather an interesting topic of conversation that mirrored the concept of the America thread.

On that basis, I see no problem with a similar discussion of Leichtenstein...

Parody threads were huge at one board I used to go to. There would be parodies of the parodies.. It was funny what some people came up with.

Don't worry, I'm sure some around here would be happy to oblige you with a parody thread about your hiney.

ON THE SUBJECT OF LEICHTENSTEIN...

I know next to nothing about it. It's one of those obscure little mountain countries where people wear funny clothes and dance around a tiny castle...

at least that's the picture that pops into my head when I hear the name...

There are about 250 kilometres (155 mi) of paved roadway within Liechtenstein, and 9.5 kilometres (5.9 mi) of railway.

I like Lichtenstein because they're very, very small, like me.

I've actually been to Luxembourg. They make nice dishes there.

What is their official language or languages? Or, for that matter, of Liechtenstein?

(Yes, I am far too lazy to actually research this myself.)

Will we soon have threads on Andorra, Togo & Tonga, Guinea-Bisseu, Suriname and Mauritania? Actually, it could be quite educational if we had people from some of these less-prominant countries in to talk about their local cultures and governmental structures. Anyone want to recruit them?

(However, I have my doubts that it would go over as smoothly on VB as it did on a different board I visit, where we had this great thread about Canada.)
