Is this an answer or a question? Every place I go to that offers it in bulk looks like a lunch buffet tray with a bunch of crap floating around in the mix. I don't like that as an option. I make tofu from time to time, and it's the best I've had, but it takes a schnitload of time.
Once again, you inspire me! Do you think a triple-hulled vessel is going overboard (no pun intended)?I use them as hulls when building battleships for the nation of Lilliput.
hello,, this is the emperor of Lilliput. sevenseas said you were interested in our battleship designs.Originally Posted by nigel

how much tofu do you USE in a week?stack of the plastic tubs
About 3 pounds a week in my house - and I buy the split-packed organic stuff from Trader Joe's. That's 6 containers.
did you mean compost bowls? that's what I do before recycling them...Originally Posted by rabid_child
I do most often buy it in bulk.. the bulk tofu at my co-op is fantastic. Better than any packaged tofu I've had. However, sometimes I need other than firm tofu (and I've been avoiding bulk since my city had a GI virus outbreak), and I just recycle them. I do use them as "garbage bowls" while I cook though. I'm with TNS.. they would make good seedling starters in the spring. Then again, I'll use any random plastic container I have to start seedlings.
