It's a sad day when the ads are considered entertainment. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/laugh.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":lol:"><br><br><br><br>
Personally I don't give a damn what they say. I don't pay attention nor does it matter to me in any way what they believe.<br><br><br><br>
Also, the existence of ads pisses me off, as does the fact that movies on TV cannot be left without having bits cut out of them. This is why I usually just go and get a DVD if I feel the need to watch a movie that's going to be on TV.

I dont' say this often but.... "what Scythe said!"<br><br><br><br>
I just don't watch the ads. The few times I bother watching TV I just don't bother watching the ads, not even the "cute" or "entertaining" ones. I just tune out. What bugs me currently about TV advertising is the excellent, free-to-air, government subsidised channel, SBS, now has ads. For years, for decades, it had no ads. They they added them (no pun intended) between show. Now they are during shows. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/sad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":("> Damn advertising people.<br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br>
(please don't ask what I do for a living right now, btw <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/tongue3.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":p"> )

Yeah, I noticed that too. I hadn't watched SBS for years because I've had Foxtel on the analogue system which didnt have SBS. When I switched to the digital system I got it back again. When I was watching a movie the other night, I was thinking, Im sure SBS didn't have this many ads before! But it'd been so long I couldn't really remember to be sure.

It's Burger King. You can't really expect honest advertising from them or anyone else anyways. If ads were honest than a lot less crap would get sold. So if they want to be sexist and ignorant than let them. I never much liked eating Burger King's garbage anyway.

Man, they must be desperate if they have to air an ad like that to get attention. Do they really think that the entire freakin' country is turning vegetarian and won't buy their stinky 'ol crapburgers anymore?

There was one like that for Hummers before. I don't watch much TV, but when I do, I don't complain about it unless it's excessively backward.

I love laughing at the commercial. Even my brother (who is an omni) thought it was ridiculous. He understands how absurd the message is. I think it is one of the stupidest commercials out there. I hope it actually turns people off from eating there.

i've never heard the phrase 'chap my arse' or anything similar until now (my my, what a sheltered life i lead!) but chap is a valid word- at least in the uk (where you can buy a lipsalve called 'chap-stick'):<br><br><br><br><div class="quote-container"><span>Quote:</span>
<div class="quote-block">Chap \\Chap\\, n. [From Chap, v. t. & i.]<br><br><br><br>
1. A cleft, crack, or *****, as in the surface of the earth, or in the skin.<br><br><br><br>
2. A division; a breach, as in a party. [Obs.]</div>
</div>
<br><br><br>
or do you mean chafe?<br><br><br><br><div class="quote-container"><span>Quote:</span>
<div class="quote-block">chafe (chāf)<br><br><br><br>

eta: even more off topic... i just came across this site trying to get some background into the fascinating new phrase i've just learned: <a href="http://www.chapsmyass.com/" target="_blank">http://www.chapsmyass.com/</a> hehehehehe.
