School’s out for the summer, and that means kids will be in and out of the house all day long, looking for snacks in between meals. Giving kids things to munch between meals doesn’t have to mean creating an unhealthy diet, and it doesn’t mean spending hours in the kitchen coming up with elaborate finger food. It might seem easier to give the little ones prepackaged foods, but with the right creative ideas you can save both time and money when feeding your kids between meals. Great thread!

I'm not a kid and I don't always snack between meals. Usually, a piece of fruit is enough. But a smoothie if it's going to be a long time till the next meal. But when it gets close to the cocktail hour I will have guac and chips.

Here are ten I copied from http://moneysavingmom.com/2014/04/10-healthy-cheap-vegan-snacks-kids.html
Breakfast banana pops.
Homemade Muesli Bars.
Healthy rice crispy treats.
PeaWee kiwi pops.
Fruity summer skewers.
Ants on a log.
Apple cupcakes.
Choc-peanut brownie balls.

One Green Planet has a pretty good article. Just 10 suggestions but that is enough to get started. BTW, i'm wondering if any list does NOT include Ants-on-a-log.
