I am so addicted to this show!!! Has anyone else been watching? The people fighting against the Japanese whalers are so incredibly brave. Plus, I've learned so much about the whole whaling industry in only two episodes of the show....such interesting (and disturbing) stuff. Their ships are labled "RESEARCH" to try and fool people about what they're really doing??? Come on....

I've watched it. These people are true heroes. I thought the same as you when I saw the "research" ships. Who do these creeps think they're fooling?

I caught myself cheering for the good guys when they climbed aboard the bad guy's ship!

Its an awesome show, i quite enjoy it.

the things they do are pretty insane.

its too bad there has to be so many politics involved between the "good guys" though as well. its a bit dissapointing they all can't just get along and fight together, but i guess there is some degree of politics in everything.

Thats because Greenpeace are a bunch of sissys....this year (actually this month the Japanese whalers just left port) Sea Shepherd will not only be out their facing a gun boat protecting the whalers, they will be out there alone. Why? Because Greenpeace heard about the Japanese gun boat escort and decided not to get involved!

The world became a better place when they (Greenpeace) voted Captain Paul Watson out!!!

This is crazy! How can they call themselves Greenpeace if they won't even stand up for what they believe in?

This is a great show, although I've only seen two episodes. =[

I have'nt seen the first episode, but I saw the second episode a few nights ago, and I am hooked on the show. I, too, was cheering for the good guys when they climbed aboard the whaling ship. I love this show.

HB and I tivo it but I fall asleep everytime we watch it. I'm constantly thinking to myself while watching it if the crew is veg or not and I assume they're not which makes me wonder how people can care so much about one group of animals and completely dismiss another. Makes me sad I do think they are quite brave and are fighting for a wonderful cause though

yes the Steve Irwin and I believe all Sea Shepherd ships are totally vegan ships.

On the mission that leaves Port December 1 ( I believe) actress Daryl Hannah will be on board, I think a 2nd season may be in the works.

I usually think about that kind of thing too, but:

Captain Watson himself says they keep a vegan ship. He's a believer in animal rights, as are many if not all of the people on the ship. As an org, they're not just people who admire whales.

Unfortunately, Greenpeace does not even keep vegetarian on their ships, last time I checked. A few years ago I toured one of their ships and asked, and they said there were meat eaters on the ship, and they eat it there. I understood from that conversation that other animals are not their issue, they're not an AR org. But, well, they do some good work too, but I think they pale in comparison to the Sea Shepherd.

My husband is korean (japanese mixed in), and he wants to watch this cuz koreans hate japanese, lol, plus he thinks they are brave good people, he's not veg (eat eats seafood), but he is an animal lover.

I read on yahoo (I hate yahoo thou) that to some people this is wrong, and that it's "eco-terrorism" XD lol, r u kidding me!

This is my favorite new show of the season. Last night I watched all five episodes, in a row on on demand. I've learned a lot about the whaling industry. The thing that blew my mind was the fact that while they butcher whales, the whalers actually have crewmembers stand around holding up signs with slogans (in English) justifying whaling.

Ever notice how many "anonymous tips" they get? I think there are some sympathetic folks on the Greenpeace ships. Either that, or a whaler is having second thoughts!

I watched this week's episode last night. When trying to decided whether to stay on the ship or not, one guy was making a list of pros vs cons - and on cons it said "another month of vegan fare"

Seriously. You're willing to put your life on the line to save whales but don't seem to care about the rights of other animals? To the point where eating vegan food is a CON?

Sorry that kind of ticked me off

yeah if you look closely at the back of one of the japanese ships you'll see a website.I went to it and wow they are dumb!Plus I went on youtube and was watching stuff about what other people thought of the show and I got into alot of arguments with people.People that argue about the fact of killing an innocent animal or not is the reason why it is still going on.It makes me very mad.

I'm not really surprised that some people are angry about this show or are calling the group eco-terrorists. They are trying to disrupt a very profitable animal slaughter industry. To consumptive-use interests, that's a big threat. I'm sure various animal-industry groups are already trying to convince Animal Planet to cancel the series. Hopefully, the strong ratings and many fans/supporters will be more convincing.
