My friend, who's actually an omni, told me that she noticed that most vegetarians [or maybe it was all] that she knows, never really liked meat in the first place.

And I can't argue that, because well, I never did either. I liked a few things, but I hated some with a passion.

So I'm asking you, did you like it greatly, before you decided to go veg*n?

not sure how to answer this one. i very rarely ate meat, but i really enjoyed filtet mignon and good cuts of steak. i was always very picky and would cut so much 'fat' off that there was hardly any meat left. also, before becoming veggie i only ate cow, turkey, chicken, and very occasionally pork. i never ate seafood and i would not try anything that was not any of those four. i also, wouldn't eat chicken out at restaurants because the quality was so poor. so, i guess i really enjoyed meat but not often.

I was pretty hardcore about it. I LOVED meat. "Gimme an order of meat with a side of meat..."

I never cared for steaks, but anything else... especially the stuff that was especially bad for you: bacon, hotdogs, sausages, liverwurst, etc... all that highly processed/cured/fatty stuff... burgers, chicken, fish, porkchops, any and all of it...

I've noticed that as well!

Well no wonder going vegetarian was so easy for most of us!

Personally, I loved some meats: bacon, hamburger, hot dogs, and especially pepperoni. But most everything else, chicken, other poultry, fish, steak, etc, I never cared for.

It's funny because now my favorite faux meat is chicken.

I loved meat. Salami, pepperoni, filet mignon, hamburgers, bacon, chicken, etc.

Then when I went on vacation to Mexico, I refused to eat any of the meat there. It looked disgusting and I didn't believe that it was safe to eat. I started researching vegetarianism...and now I'm here

I will say every once in a while I miss a hamburger, etc. But only for a split second before I think of a beautiful cow

I was.

Used to like Jumbo Jacks w/ cheese, Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger from Wendy's (I would take off the bacon), Roast Beef subs from Blimpies, fish and chips in newspaper!, and Popeye's chicken strips, Long John Silvers, too. Everything except steak, ribs.

But I ALWAYS hated how I felt after eating said meats. Don't know why I kept eating things that I knew were going to make me feel crappy. Thank God it all clicked one day.

The only common meat I didn't care for at all was ham. Otherwise I ate meat pretty much every lunch and dinner and I liked it just fine. Especially tuna subs from Subway and peppersteak. Oh! And fish and chips. And put me down as another dude who loved a good pepperoni pizza.

So yeah.

I didn't give it up because I didn't like it. But I like the way I eat so much better now for so many reasons and I don't miss it a bit.
