I initially gained weight when I went vegan, but I also started eating lots and lots of decadent dessert, and switched my bc pill at that time too. I have lost the weight I gained by focusing on eating nutrient-dense foods and a bit of dessert, instead of a lot of dessert, and by exercising 20-30 minutes a day, 5-6 times a week.<br><br><br><br>
My diet is vegan- no animal products at all- and consists of mostly whole grains (wheat, quinoa, spelt, brown rice, rice pastas, kamut, millet, etc.), vegetables (particularly kale, bell peppers, zucchinni, broccoli, spinach, swiss chard, potatoes, carrots, tomato, peas, corn, sprouts, onions, wheatgrass juice etc.), fruits (banana, dried and non-dried apple, strawberry, raspberry, juices, mango, kiwi, melon etc.), tofu, tempeh, seitan, beans, nuts (walnuts, pecans, peanuts, almonds, pine nuts), nut butters, and healthy oils (flax, canola, olive).
