Full week has gone by now and I've had no meat. Much easier then I thought it would be. I am feeling really good. I have been eating MUCH healthier then I have been in a long time. Very proud of myself!

Congrats congrats!!!

If you want some encouragement in the form of tips and recipes deliered by email, here are a couple options:

Vegan at Heart: http://www.kindgreenplanet.org/progr...heart/welcome/
"a free e-mail coaching program for people who are vegan at heart but not necessarily in practice. It's for idealists and animal-lovers and treehuggers and health nuts and everybody in-between who wants to incorporate more compassionate, healthy, sustainable habits into their daily lives but who need a little more info, a little moral support, or just a little friendly kick in the pants."

HSUS Meatless Mondays: http://www.humanesociety.org/forms/m...criptions.html
"See how The Humane Society of the United States can help you stand up for animals, the planet, and your health-simply by sitting down to eat. Sign up [and they will] email you a free recipe for something delicious every week."

21 Day Vegan Kickstart: http://pcrm.org/kickstarthome/
mealplan, recipes, health info and more

The Cancer Project: http://support.cancerproject.org/sit...dInterest=1021
"delicious weekly recipes that make eating for cancer prevention and survival easy. Developed by nutrition experts, each recipe features detailed instructions and ingredient lists-a simple way to put yourself on the road to good health."

Hmmm, this list is good. I think I will share it elsewhere...

Awesome!!! Keep it up! It gets easier as you go and find new foods. I'm still under a year, and already I hardly even "think" about it anymore, it's just become part of my life.

Congratulations! I am in my third week meat-free. I do not miss the meat at all, but meals do take a little more thought and effort. I agree - it is much easier than I thought it would be too.

Thank you all! I will defiantly take a look at these sites you have given me. Since deciding to not eat any meat, I've have been cooking my meals every nite (I maybe cooked once a week before), and I take what I am eating more seriously and have eaten so much healthier. I feel so much better than I had been feeling.

The animals you saved will thank you for your efforts too.
They won't really because they can't talk, but you get the picture
