Hey all, I live about 30 minutes outside of DC, in Springfield, VA, at least for the next month and a half. So, Sticky Fingers Bakery?? Anyone know if you can buy individual items?

Yes, you can buy individual items. And it's highly worth the trip to go pick up some cowvin cookies!

Hi! I'm new to this board and to the DC area. My fiance and I just moved to Alexandria, VA and are looking to meet interesting people and couples.

I've joined a Cooking Light Supper Club in my area which has been fun and got me thinking, are their any veggie supper clubs in DC? If not, would anyone be interested in starting one?

I think it would be lots of fun and a great way for people to get together and enjoy wonderful food and company!

Peace, love & happiness,

Who got a copy of The Washington Post yesterday?

I picked one up for some unknown reason (OK, to read the comics) and there was a vegan comic there!

Go dig through the trash and get the Style section and look for the comic: "Rhymes with Orange"...I looked for the website so I could post it up for everyone but they haven't updated it in like 2 weeks.

I saw it - not bad! Of course, I still love the Dilbert from sometime last year with the vegan guy in the office. Dilbert tells him that his clothes were made on machines run by coal and oil which come from dead dinosuars. The guy is shown in the final panel walking nude around the office thinking to himself "I need to start making exceptions."

For anyone lurking around this forum who doesn't go to the MD or VA forums, check out either of them for news about a local gathering of veggieboards people planned for February 15.

Man, TWP Style section has The Sun beat in someways.

For one, my horoscopes are better in TWP. Cause for 2 months now, according to TWP, I will meet my soul mate...and I better look my best. TS is just being a meanie and saying that I'll discover the cure for the common cold or be the next big philosopher or some mucky-muck...Or maybe I shouldn't put much into these computer generated horoscopes...

Two, the comics are better. The Boondocks and Dilbert (and Doonsbury) rock my world. Yeah TS has them too, but not much else.

OK, so my thinking for today is done. whoo!
