Dangers of Veganism!!!

Apparently veganism can cause the following:

* a general lack of vitality;

* low body temperature (always cold);

* food cravings (especially among women);

* stalled weight loss because metabolism is too low (predominately in women);

* inability to gain weight, resulting in shrunken, cadaverous-looking bodies (predominately in men);

* weight gains from overeating on carbohydrates;

* amenorrhea (menstrual cycles cease), even in young women;

* loss of libido;

* hair loss and nail problems;

* dental cavities, tooth loss, and gum problems;

* joint pain;

* inability to conceive

"Food cravings" Lord help us.

shrunken, cadaverous looking bodies.

THEN they say weight gain.

So...indecisive...help...me...fat. skinny.

Bet the indecisiveness is from lack of protein. *gasp*

That reminds me of the commercial for Meijer (I think it was) where the kid keeps changing his "costume" and going to the same house. The lady's like "What are you supposed to be?"

"The amazing fat skinny kid. LOOK! Fat. Skinny. Fat. Skinny." as he sucks in and sticks out his stomach repeatedly.

That cracks me up so much I have to imitate it. That's what I was today.

I cannot possibly see how dairy could be neccesary for people's health given how no other animal drinks another species' milk.

Plus with all of the people who cannot phsyically have dairy it couldn't possibly be needed biologically.

As for the other stuff, do they mention what it is in meat and eggs is needed?.

A vegan diet is not necessarily an instant path to healthy living. You have to be on the ball when it comes to your diet if you're going to be following it long term. If you don't have some nutritional knowlege and some decent cooking skills and a yearly blood test, there's every chance your health is going to suffer to some degree.

I've had friends who think that they can survive on lentil curries day after day and when they get cold just put on another layer of clothing.
They haven't realised that they are cold because their red blood cells have shrunk through lack of nutrition.

Eclipse: It's mostly misinformation.

Pixelle: I agree. A steady diet of lentil curries could be healthier than other vegan diets, though. If that's the worst they do, I'd say they're not doing too badly. A diet of tings and double stuf oreos would be vegan (lol. I typed "fegan" at first) and not even remotely healthy.

Isn't that true of anyone, thoughvegan, omni, or somewhere in between?

Veganism can cause some people to become TERRORISTS!!!!!11111

It should be outlawed. Any person who is found out to be a vegan, gets 100 years in Guantanamo Bay.
