We have a local supermarket contest of cakes here in Latvia. Currently our vegan community is voting "like crazy" for our vegan cake to get into 11 finalists (10 of them are selected by jury and one is selected by Facebook/Twitter votes). We want to promote veganism, so cake contest is a good opportunity for us.

However our rival (author of cake with 16 eggs, a liter of milk, 700g cream etc.) is somehow keeping a few tenths of votes ahead of our cake all the time (by spreading posts like don't allow this vegan "cake" to win our real cake and, may be even by registering fake accounts).

Does anyone have an idea how to quickly gather votes (the contest ends today and possibly the carnist-cake supporters will try to get even more votes in last hours)?

If it is permitted here to ask for votes, then link to our cake in the contest is here and voting can be done by moving mouse over the "BALSOT" label under social media share buttons and selecting Facebook or Twitter from there (each person can vote from both networks once a day). Thank you very much for your support!
By the way the cake is called Vegan's dream (in Latvian).

UPDATE! Thank you all! We got to the final (and the rival who spread mean posts did not)!
Now (till August 14) we are collecting votes for final (the votes will be one of the factors to win the final of the contest).

P.S. I believe that at the moment when @karenlovessnow wasn't able to open the link the voting page was changed from semi-finalist cakes to finalist cakes.

I hope you win but not sure how anyone could vote on something they did not taste? I am a little confused how some people are so hardcore about their beliefs and take such a hard line about anything plant based. Not sure why anyone would vote on food they did not taste? The concept is great and I support you 100%, but food is about taste and I hope the people that tried you product loved it.

UPDATE2! Thank you all for help! :)
Voting has ended and vegan cake got biggest number of internet votes.

P.S. @ocrob37 Yes - this is a kind of slippery issue (I am not 100% sure whether it was right to collect votes this aggressively and it is hard to tell what I would do in similar situation in the future). :serious:
