Volunteer Latin America is a vegan run overseas voluntary service facilitator and offers some interesting projects, including some for vegans. For example, an animal sanctuary is looking for vegan volunteers to help care for the animals and assist with daily farm duties. Visit the volunteering section of their website for more information: volunteerlatinamerica.com

Happy volunteering!

This is really cool! I am going to check it out.

I volunteer for a meals on wheels type of service, and I've had to occasionally handle meat for their clients. It isn't pleasant, but I do it because I know these people really need all of the help they can get..both the people receiving the meals and making them. The food they get is donated.

Check out Food Not Bombs if they have a chapter in your area. Feed the homeless vegan foods! 😁

I have heard about food not bombs, but I do worry about the political implications that come with such an organization. I like what they do conceptually, but I do think it may be too much for me. I like to live a quiet, subtle life.
