Hi all,

Some of you might be aware that I'm writing a book about vegetarianism. I'm at the point now where I would need testimonials about a variety of topics. It ranges from making the switch, to dealing with people as a vegetarian or vegan.

I might also be interviewing some of you with particularly interesting testimonials. The way I would work is that I would mention you before quoting anything, I might use a pseudonym if you prefer, you would get a free copy of the book, and you would be named in the thanks section.

Anyways, if you have questions, just ask. You can PM me also.

Take care,

That sounds great. Good luck with it.

Make sure you post how we can get a copy when it's published.

I doubt I have anything interesting to add to it though, my switch to veg has been pretty smooth, healthwise, dietwise, and socially

Good for you. Mine has been a long road of yelling, threats of disown-ment and the like, as I'm sure many of us have gone through. As far as a testimonial, how about moving back back to where I grew up and getting deer blood thrown on my porch? Does that count?

Hi everyone, thanks for your replies.

EvilVegan, I'd really like to hear your story, but the main thing I'm looking for is a lesson of some sort, maybe your's could be, from the sound of it, about holding on to your integrity!

Raspberry, I'll be contacting you shortly so we can schedule a meeting on an online chat, or do it trough email

Have a nice evening,

Benoit

PS: for those interested, the testimonials and interviews, along with completing the recipe section, is the last phase of the manuscript, so it shouldn't be so long after that.

I'm all for sharing experiences (actually, I just love talking about myself).

Feel free to interview me too, or if you would like me to write something up about a particular topic/experience, just let me know.

I had a relatively smooth transition, with the exception of having to break up with my BF who decided that I was judging him by the virtue of my own choices.

I also have a lot to talk about with regards to the shifting reasons behind my veg*nism.

Ooooh! Ooooh! Interview me!

I'd make a great interviewee, in my opinion. I'm probably the only vegan in my school, and I've been a vegan for about three months. I've come under a lot of pressure from family and friends to go back to eating meat, but I've risen above them. My sister became vegan for a while, but then she ate meat at a family gathering which was really embarrassing for me because she tried to make it look like I was just being difficult, and now she's constantly pestering me about it.

Also I know a lot about nutrition, and I've felt a lot better since becoming a vegan, and please, pleeeease interview me!

I don't use the internet a lot so I'm much more interesting than my profile or post count would let on. If you want to interview me, PM me and I'll give you my email or AIM screenname or whatever you want

I'm not sure I'd be able to add anything much more interesting than some of the other members. I'd be more than willing to do an interview if you'd want me to for your book. Being a newbie to vegetarianism my transition hasn't been easy, but it hasn't exactly been a seriously dramatic experience either.

My health slightly improved after going vegetarian, I had IBS and some stomach issues which I relied on medication to make more bearable. Since going vegetarian I haven't needed to take the medication at all.

Socially my friends and family are used to me having strong beliefs that are different from the 'norm'. So there haven't been that many negative reactions.

I'd be willing to do an interview, though I don't think my experiences have been that out of the norm, and my opinions aren't especially interesting.
