I have been noticing recently everywhere i go veggie burgers are on the menu. Even little roadside stand type seafood/burger/fry joints.

the most recent was a little seafood stand in rhode island the other day, the kids wanted some french fries, and i noticed they had a veggie burger on the menu.

back in the day when i first became veg ( wont say how long ago....haha)......you would be hard pressed to find a veg option everywhere you went, now it seems like there is more, not a lot but at least something.

anyone else notice this where you live?

do you think its because there are more vegetarians now? or just because people just want a healthy option even though they may not be veg?

People want to lose weight and veggiburgers are endorsed by the Med diet. I doubt it is a vegetarian thing.

I think that it is probably a combination of both. More people are asking for the option, so more places are making it available to make their customers happy and returning.

I also think it's a combination of vegetarianism and health-consciousness.

I eat them a lot =D Yeah about all restaurants have veggie menus. Haven't noticed veggie burgers in particular though. I usually don't see any soy-meat at all.

I've noticed that I can find a veggie burger at pretty much any restaurant, but not so much the little stands and that sort of thing.

I am extremely happy about this though, because I just happen to love veggie burgers, but I am too lazy to make my own at home.

There are a few restaurants in Calgary that make absolutely spectacular veggie burgers, including a place called Milestone's. Mmmmmm....

Now I want a veggie burger!

I think it is more health-related. In other news, I fed my boyfriend a bite of a boca burger and he liked it.

Not around here. The major chains have a veggie burger but not smaller restaurants. The veggie burger about sums up the vegetarian choices too.

sarahjayne that restaurant looks good! we lived in clearwater beach many years ago when hubby was stationed there ( uscg )........we didn't go to Tampa that much, and clearwater had NO vegi options, at least back then.

You should probably leave Oklahoma. That place sucks.
