i read that article. funny how just a couple of fighters here or there (the article listed five fighters tops) can equate to being "all the rage". and the first guy who was mentioned in the article (fitch) talked about eating fish in preparation for his upcoming match... AND stated that after his fight... "he’s planning on eating a steak". hmm... doesn't really sound like a vegetarian to me.<br><br>
granted, it's great that this made news on a site other than a veg-related one... and granted these guys (even if they <i>do</i> eat meat on occasion) are eating a <span style="text-decoration:underline;">great</span> deal less meat than the average mma fighter. i just wish the writing and headlines could be a little better/more accurate. then again... it is yahoo. ;P
Aside from the inaccuracy about Fitch eating fish occasionally and planning on a steak... I think this is awesome, and if I ever get a chance to slip this into the conversation at martial arts (many of my fellow students are UFC nuts) I certainly will.
