Hey Everyone!

If you missed the previous posts about Pride High, it's an independent, gay-themed, vegetarian-friendly comic book. It follows the story of a gay-straight alliance at a high school for superpowered youth. Two of the main characters, Suravi & Kid Mischief, are vegetarian (Kid Mischief is "vegan-curious"), while a mentor of theirs, Verdant (yup, my namesake), is vegan. The first 12 of 36 pages are free, and can be accessed at

It was sent to the printers on September 5th. I'm looking at (hopefully) a September 27th print release. My friends and I are planning to officially release the online version a week earlier, on Wednesday, September 20th. However, I'm releasing it here a few days early

For friends who don't speak English as a first language, the Japanese, French, and Dutch versions of Pride High are currently in production. Previews of these are linked from the main page:

Tommy

..Always glad to see veg*n cartoon chars. I keep asking about veg*n anime but so far there seems to be none despite the loads of anime there is.

I have veg*n chars myself, but I'm not into the story part, I just use them to build my portfolio.

If I start buying comics again sometime, I'll definatly buy one.

Yeah, they're rare. In mainstream comics, I can only think of two:

Karolina from the Runaways

Beast Boy from the Teen Titans

In anime, the only one I can recall is Nadia from "Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water."
