We Americans usually Grill meat.

But I am curious do Vegetarians use a Grill as a social function?

I'm a veggie and I have no ideal why I need a grill.

Veggie kebabs or grilled veggies with or without tofu, grilled fruit (pineapple, apples, etc.), veggie/bean burgers, you can grill chili in a pot, potatoes, sweet potatoes, asparagus, mushrooms, the list goes on and on.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44EmzHeaIT0

Oh yeah, and corn on the cob. (If the youtube vid isn't showing in the post, it's a deleted scene of a movie regarding veganism and BBQ. NSFW due to cussing.)

I've been vegetarian or vegan almost my entire life. I BBQ at least a couple times each year. I'm currently lusting over a tailgate propane grill that folds up for travel because I want to grill more often.

Open flame in the outdoors... What's so meaty about that? Flame is flame and you can cook lots of yummy vegan foods on a grill

We grill a lot in the summer (to be fair, I do live with an omni). One of my favorites is potato packets and portobello mushrooms. We also camp a fair bit, so grilling is useful then, too.

On Food Network Bobby Flay did a series about grilling. One segment features a visit to an all-vegan grilling party.

There are several books on vegetarian grilling. I own 2 but they're in storage right now.
