I have been lacto-ovo for nearly 3 1/2 years now. I have absolutely no regrets or wishful thinking about missed meat because its usually the spices and flavors that I crave and that's easy enough with vegetarian food. EXCEPT, I do miss smoked salmon -- on bagels, in sushi (even though I do love, love, love veggie sushi!), etc. What are reasonable vegetarian alternatives to salmon?
