Hi!

I'm Lum. I'm from England, I am almost a lifelong vegetarian and I love cooking.
However, I'm at university at the moment studying languages which means I am working in Spain for the next 5 months. I have joined the forum to talk to some other veggies (rare in my circle of friends...) and hopefully get some advice on surviving in Spain with only 1 oven ring to cook with!

Welcome to the forum!

I don't know too much about veggie living in Spain, but we have had a couple of threads about it here. (Do a search on "Spain" and see what comes up.)

Where in Spain are you going to stay? I think some places are better suited than others. Obviously bigger cities will have more of a selection etc. E.g. I've heard good things about Barcelona.

Welcome Spain is amazing, I hope you have a wonderful time!
What's an oven ring? Is it like the burner on a stove or a hot plate?
It's really easy to be a veg*n in Spain if you prepare most of your meals yourself. Eating out at traditional restaurants can be difficult and/or boring if you don't eat any animal products but it should be a lot easier if you eat dairy and eggs. Fortunately many cities have vegetarian restaurants and there usually plenty of doner kebaps with falafel.
