I want to make some lentil soup tonight, but I don't have any vegetable stock. Can I use vegetable bullions instead? If so, should I boil the bullions n the water foe a time before I add anything else? Thanks!

You can certainly use vegetable bouillon cubes. Just chuck them into the boiling water and stir to disolve. If you're used to using homemade stock, you may want to cut back on salt in the rest of the recipe. (Also, I've made lentil soup with just water before and it turns out great. As long as the soup has a fair bit of spice in it, you probably won't taste much difference.)

Mmm... lentil soup. Enjoy!
