Visiting the lovely state of Nevada next weekend, I have searched some eateries but it is always nice to hear from locals. What are your favorite veg*n places to chow down, and your favorite items on the menu? Super excited to try some out.

No, sorry, the best vegan food I've had was in NYC, SF, or LA. Vegas is not really about food (although our city is trying to encourage more culinary tourism it has a ways to go). Be sure to see some shows (I suggest LOVE) and visit the Mob Museum (the real deal, not the casino knock-offs) and the Atomic Testing Museum. If you want something off the Strip, go bird watching in the Wetlands and hiking at Red Rock.

I will, however, suggest a few fun foods in Vegas: vegan tuna melt at Red Velvet (may not be on the menu but they have it) and the vegan cheeseburger meal (comes with vegan chocolate shake) at the Terrace Cafe at the Wynn. The Sunday brunch buffet at Mint is tasty (get a mimosa) and the chili or nachos at Pura Vida are fantastic. If you go to Ronald's, remember it's the top two rows are vegan. The bottom donuts are not vegan. And they only take cash. Veggie House is inexpensive and very good. And there's a Whole Foods at Town Square if you want to stock up on snacks for day trips. Have fun :)

Im starting to love Vegas after visiting twice. You have to get Ronalds Donuts. Pizza at Slice Of Vegas was also really good.

Ronalds donuts was great, I need one at home!

I also tried La Cave at the Wynn. Very good food minus the vegan mushroom tortellini, the cashew sauce was watery and very bland. The fiery artichoke flatbread was to die for, and their salads were great. The chef came out to say thank you for ordering off the vegan menu. Only complaint was the "no meat" portion was full of fish and had a chicken dish, which we mentioned politely was meat.

Mint was super yummy as well.

If anyone is planning a Vegas trip and wants to stay on the strip I do suggest either Wynn, Encore or Aria all have full vegetarian menus and most restaurants at the three have at least five vegan items.

I love Greens and Proteins! They have really yummy green smoothies, salads, fresh fruit juices, and pizzas. However, I did not love the texture of the popular tofu fries and sometimes the food takes awhile. A meal costs about $10 and shakes cost around $8. Quite pricey for an everyday lunch, but I left full and satisfied!!!

The prices, calories, and ingredients are listed on the website. It is in Green Valley about 10-15 minutes from the strip.
