Vegan Spaghetti-Os?

Okay, I'm sure some of you are gonna barf, but I have to admit that I REALLY miss Spaghetti-Os. I loooooooooooved them.

Does anybody know of any brand that is similar and vegan?

Please don't tell me to just make spaghetti. I want my stinky ole Spaghetti-Os, cold and right out of the can.

Okay, I admit, that is gross...

Trader Joe's sells dried pasta in little o's and I have used them for making a "Spaghetti O's" substitute for clients with picky children transitioning to veganism.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I'll see if I can get some of those online. We don't have Trader Joe's out here.

I was thinking that maybe I mix the O's with condensed tomato soup (no water added) to get that funky wonky Spaghetti-O taste.
I was just going to suggest the same thing; tiny "O" pasta and tomato soup that is still partly condensed. Sounds nasty, I know, but my kids say it's a fair imitation for spaghetti-o's... blechhhhh...

I miss those too.

And straight out' the can's the way to go!!!
oh man, i love the spag o's!!

i actually just ate some pasta today and thought the taste of the sauce was quite similar to the old o's. it was a mild mushroom/ garlic tomato sauce (with a bit of water to reheat the pasta in) and some EB..so it was quite thin.

the sauce was something special, no? *sigh*

My Daddy was so glad when I moved out of the house because he wouldn't have to smell Spaghetti-Os again.

This from the man who microwaved raw peanuts. P.U.!

Sometimes I liked to use those big scoop Fritos as edible "spoons."

Yes, I was something of a healthnut, no?

I'll do some experimenting and let you know how it works out!

Thanks! I was sooooooo hoping that y'all would tell me that there was some magic can of something that tasted just like it, as I am too lazy even to make noodles and canned soup.

Yeah, I really liked the taste of Franco-American's sauce as a child.
Heinz Spaghetti and Tomato Sauce in a can tastes exactly like spaghetti-o's & is vegan. The only difference, really, is that they're long noodles rather than o's.

picture to show what i mean:

I miss Chef Boyardee. If they'd sell the noodles without the meatballs I'd buy it in a heartbeat, health be darned.
I too miss the strange orange sauce that came with spaghetti-o's and those canned raviolis. I've never seen a vegan version, but I will absolutely look for the canned Heinz Spaghetti!

"No Bull Beefaroni" is actually a pretty close impersonation too.
heinz also make canned spaggetti 'hoops'. i'm not 100% sure on the ingredients, but they look vegan to me- they're listed as vegetarian and i don't see anything obviously not vegan. if you can't locate them in a grocery store, maybe try a british ex-pat store if there is one near you. might be a bit more expensive than the regular ones, but i reckon as a special treat it'd be worth it.
I never liked spaghetti 0's but I loved the meat stuffed ravioli in the can....that's way worse....
the Spaghetti Hoops that are mentioned above are vegan, but I don't think I've ever seen them stateside. I never liked the O's when I was a kid, but I started eating them when I was poor and vegetarian in university (15 cents a can or something like that), and got hooked.

Here's another recipe:

i know annies has some "bunnie o's" and alphabet stuff, even ones w/ faux meatballz... but im not sure if they have cheeseless. they are rennetless though.

the ones that ive had were okay, a little less ghetto, tomato-style...so ie: not as tasty. hee.
Yeah, I'm surprised no one has mentioned Annie's. They're really good. I've found them at Raley's and Target.
