Vegan Sour Cream Recipe to use as a dip, on top of salads, in sandwiches, soups, crackers, chips...etc!

Vegan Sour Cream

1 package of silken firm tofu
1 tbs extra virgin olive oil
5 tsps fresh Lemon juice
2 tsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp honey/ agave nectar / vegan sugar
1/4 tsp sea salt
optional: bit of garlic powder and/or dill + cayenne if you enjoy spiciness

Additional salad recipe with full intructions

Cool, yup I often leave out sweetener too... but I definitely add in apple cider vinegar.

I usually prefer extra-firm tofu to silken, but I know silken would be called for in this sort of recipe and this sounds like something I'd like. Not high in saturated fats, as real sour cream would be, either!

If I try the salad, I'll probably leave out the figs and definitely pass on the cilantro.

Yeah I only use silken for making dips/sauces.

And the figs + cilantro could definitely be left out, for sure. I am finicky about cilantro... fine line between me loving it in something and me grimacing at it.

Made the mock sour cream yesterday, and it was great.
I did have it on my baked potato with some leftover vegan chili. Oh baby.
