I think it is time. It was a year since i stopped being pescatarian. and todays activist meeting showed me that it is time to go all the way. i am already eating vegan 98% f the time, so shouldn't be too bad. i will just get my favorite pizza tonight for the last time and am finally vegan
well, it will be hard first to keep track of bread and other food that may have traces

That's awesome, Ira! I'm a new vegan myself, after having been vegetarian for a year. I think you'll find that the transition approach makes it much easier.

Ha...I totally did it too. One last pizza from my favorite place.

I felt like I was on death row having my last meal.

yep, that
i also wanted to add that in the beginning to announce things like that helps me from being a cheater in the beginning. last night when i was at the store i realized that i did it right before the holidays. The house of my parents will be full of food with sour cream (russians). but i already said to everyone. here, to my parents, to my rmmate so it will help me be strong

Oh a funny thing, I prepared my parents for it starting a few weeks ago, since they had truble to understand what vegetarians eat i thought veganism may be more of an issue. so after i announced my dad was making small pies for everyone with mushroms, so he called me to see if he should put crumbled eggs and sour cream on top of mine like for everyone else (very nice of him). i said no, and explained why. so he didn't, but he still used an egg when making the crust

And looks like everyone wants their last pizza
i didn't get mine last night because it is on sale and was all gone at 2am (my favorite is dr. oetker ristaurante mozarella pizza). i guess i will get my "last meal" in the last few days

I tried a pizza from my favorite pizza place without cheese this weekend, and it was quite good.
Give it a try; you don't have to give up your favorite pizza place to cut out dairy. (And the Amy's roasted veggie pizza is really good.)

Good job!! Now your task is to make a pizza with daiya.
My fave is BBQ unsausage:
-ground round
-sauteed onions and mushrooms
- red pepper
-sauce is basil tomato sauce and BBQ sauce (equal parts)
and COVERED in Daiya pepperjack cheese alt.
SOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD

I am actually lucky when it comes to pizza here. Not only did I see Amy's cheese free pizza in store last night and can make it home with daiya (great recipe btw, Mary! will totally try it) but i also live within delivery of a magic oven pizza place. they have a big list of cheese free and daiya cheese pizza! so now when we have a beer night and my friends order pizza i can still get one too! i just wanted this particular one for the last time. it was my addictive comfort food so to say. but nothing i will miss for more than a few months (hey, if i can look at salmon sushi with disgust now than anything is possible
)

and thanks for nice replies
