Hi all.

I have always been anemic, even before I was vegetarian (and now I am vegan). However, when I last got my iron tested, it was even lower than usual. I do feel alright, but wouldn't mind feeling better (if that is possible). My parents, who are doctors and did the test because I was in town, gave me a multi-vitamin with iron of unknown origin. I am sure it isn't vegan, although I have taken a couple, I would like to find something that IS vegan, HAS iron and HAS B12.

It wasn't as if I was taking nothing when I tested so low for iron--I was (and still do) take Veglife vegan One Multi (green logo on front), but it specifically says that it has NO IRON. Obviously, it would be nice if I got some iron supplement. Can someone suggest a good vegan multi-vitamin with iron? I also might not mind having one that "tastes" better. Silly, I know, but I try to get my almost-vegan husband to take these and he doesn't like the strong smell/taste (not that they are chewable)...I don't have a problem with it, but I would like something he can take.

Yes, I know about a well-rounded diet and I eat a very healthy vegan diet with lots of greens. It must be something about my body that makes my iron level so low. So, no nutrition lectures--just looking for vitamin suggestions!

If you do a search here at VB, you'll find a bunch of older threads with some folks' recommendations.
