Capezio doesn't? Seriously? I didn't know that.

Hm. All I can say is go digging at thrift stores if you can do with a second-hand pair. However, I do have a really funny story about character shoes.

I was in a play it was the first night when suddenley the costume person told me to wear these character shoes that I had never worn before, as opposed to the ones that I had been wearing for the first half of the play (o.0? I don't get it either). So I put on the shoes that were a bit too large and ran on stage just before the second act started. The curtains opened up and we had nearly the entire cast in the scene, so we had to be very careful to remember what we were supposed to do, so as to not cause confusion or run into someone.

I was walking arm in arm with one of my friends along the stage, when at one point I was supposed to pull her away from someone else and step away. Well, I went down. And I took her with me. >.< My feet were sliding around in the shoes, trying to get up, and I partially twisted my ankle in the process. Needless to say, the next night I wore my original shoes.
yeah, I've been looking for some veggie jazz shoes for a while now. I hate ordering shoes online (I'm hard to fit - very wide feet...). But I've been wanting to pick up a couple of dance classes, and I might end up having to buy leather... I don't want to.
If you can find some suitable "fake" leather that looks similar enough to what you are looking for, you could try to find someone who can make some for you.

Otherwise, go second hand if you can find any suitable. At least you arent directly supporting the industry that makes them.
