I need a recomendation for non-leather work gloves for handling hot lighting equipment. I'm in a television and video production program and leather gloved were recommended, but I'm certainly not going to buy those. Any help would be much appreciated.

Fair enough. I was reading the original message (which asked for 'non-leather') rather than the title.

Funny how no one had anything constructive to offer in this thread, but they sure had a lot to flap their lips about once someone offers a suggestion (with a link to vegan gloves). Way to be helpful guys!

I'd check out home depot, they might have something you like.

Painters gloves or gardners gloves can be made out of fabric (cotton), depending on the thickness, they might work for you

Ever considered oven mitts?

(mitts aren't that easy to work with)
