After being a vegetarian who consumed minimal amounts of animal products(in baked goods, breads, etc) I became a vegan a month ago. Although I had thought about becoming vegan many times during the years, the thing that gave me the push I needed was watching Peaceable Kingdom. It struck me how wrong it is for such disgusting, horrible and cruel things to be done to an incredible number of animals for something so TOTALLY INSIGNIFICANT as eggs and dairy
! I just couldn't be a part of participating in these practices in any way. It's been a month and I'm doing well food wise. I still need to switch my toiletries. Are there any good, inexpensive vegan soaps? We currently use Jergens so when I see the prices for vegan soaps I can't believe it!

Congratulations! I've been vegan for one week tomorrow.
It's good that you decided to make the switch, it definitely helps the animals.

As for soaps, I'm not sure, but I've heard that there are good prices on vegan soaps at Big Lots.

Congrats!
Peaceable Kingdom is a beautiful documentary that I'm sure helped so many others, too.

Kiss My Face makes vegan soaps. You can find them at www.kissmyface.com. If you're looking for other things like skin care, cosmetics, or hair care...feel free to PM me if you're interested in learning about Arbonne's products, or even check out my website!
They are vegan products that aren't tested on animals.

Congratulations!! You should be very proud of yourself.

I was a vegetarian for 2 weeks and then I went to college and had to stop

There weren't enough options and I was losing weight- I can't afford to lose any weight.

Now they have veggie burgers and salad bars and stuff so I'm going to try to be a vegetarian again.

YAY!!!!!!!! Someone who calls a spade a spade!!!

Of course, the eggs and milk are not insignificant for the hens and the cows, but for humans... indeed, they are Absolutely Dispensable.

The Animal Gods are smiling at you today. And they've given you a whole bunch of good karma points.

What has happened is that you have just gone one rung further up on the evolutionary scale and you can be PROUD OF YOURSELF!!!!!!!
