I am taking a Carnival cruise at the end of October and am wondering...has anyone had any success eating vegan on Carnival?

I requested a vegan menu, as Carnival says it will try to accomodate special diets, but my Carnival vacation planner said she doubts it will do much. I plan on speaking to the maitre d' or someone when I get on board to see if something can be arranged. They have vegetarian options at all the meals but they all seem to have dairy in them.

Any advice/suggestions would be much appreciated.

I have had some luck requesting RELIGIOUS VEGETARIAN meals on flights and trips. I get about a 50/50 response - most say that it's up to the catering firm if it's vegan or vegetarian (most don't know the difference) and some have said vegan and were not even vegetarian.

Google 'Carnival Cruise Vegan' there seem to be many differing opinions, most of which are that they will not accommodate prior to, but once on the ship the staff try very hard to serve whatever the guest wants - vegan included.
