I'm blind as a bat so I need vision assistance. I'm a big contact lens person (yes, I realize they're not vegan) and I try to use the only vegan contact solution I know of (clear conscience). Problem is, it's way too expensive for such a small bottle. I paid like 10 dollars I believe for 3 oz of product. That's not really going to work for me, unfortunately, I can get a bottle triple the size of that for the same price. Is there Any other, more economical brand of contact solution out there or is that the only one?

I stopped wearing glasses as my main thing a while ago because I always break them or lose them, etc. But with my most recent contact lens purchase, I also got a pair of glasses (I wear an old busted pair around my house usually anyway) because my eyes actually got better (-3 to -2.5, oh yeah!) this summer as a result of wearing contact lenses much less often when I'm home. Anyway, is there a good vegan cleansing spray or gel for glasses? And how about a vegan version of one of those suede lens cloths you get sometimes with glasses? Hope I'm making sense. Hope you can help me out

My lens cloth isn't suede, nor do I think most of them are. They are termed "microsuede", which is really just polyester (plastic).

Some people make their own glasses cleaner - recipes can include rubbing alcohol, a gentle soap, or white vinegar. I don't know how much I recommend this, since it might have issues with any special coating on your lenses.

I use white vinegar and water to clean my glasses. You can put it into one of those little plastic squirt bottles.

I don't know of any other vegan contact solutions.

I've never even considered using a cleaner to clean my glasses. Fancy. I wipe 'em down on my shirt once a day or so...

It's a vegan shirt though, so I'm good.

I use the same solution and I've been getting the tiny bottles for free from my eye dr. He has a ton of sample bottles so he gives me a bunch whenever I go see him or need them. Apparently not that many people use that type of solution so he's always has a full stock of it. Maybe you can see if your dr has some as well?

As for glasses: I just clean mine with hot water and a dry them off with a towel. I've never used anything else to clean them. Hot water works just fine for me.

Wait. I was considering getting contacts. They aren't vegan? Why not?
